“I’m just doing what I’m told. If I am ordered to remove gold fillings from refugees theeth then that’s what I’ll do”, says police officer Michael Hansen.

Just thought I’d add this since not a lot of people outside of the nordic countries seem to have seen it. This is a danish police officer discussing a new danish law that says the police should seize the possesions and money of refugees to finance the integration.

He uh, skipped awful quickly to “stealing gold fillings” didn’t he?

Ruby Keeler & Lee Dixon dance on a giant typewriter in Ready, Willing & Able (1937)

So jaded by cgi that I didn’t think this was impressive at all until I realised it was all an actual size set

It took me a solid few seconds to realize those type bars swinging back and forth at the top are actually peoples legs

brit (they/them) is an abstract artist who makes these pieces as a way to heal and connect with others to offer community and resilience. i really recommend checking out more of their stuff, and i recommend crediting artists at the very least if u intend to post art without their permission

Walking switchbacks never ever occurred to me.

But I’m big on pacing myself. Taking frequent rest breaks, etc.

Another benefit of switchbacks.

If you use switchbacks to ascend & descend, you don’t crash. As someone who once had the thought, ‘oh, I can just take this path directly down & avoid the switchback path’ that way lies falling down. And rolling. I was very lucky to avoid broken bones.

i’m using this
